An introduction to:

Steve Adey...

...is a singer, musician, songwriter and recoding engineer born and raised in Birmingham, England.
He lived in New York City, New Jersey and is now based in Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.

...has prostituted his skills in various musical happenings, working in many styles from recording heavy rock bands to working with members of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

His self recorded debut album 'All Things Real' was released in March, 2006 through Grand Harmonium Records. Friends, musicians (Doug MacDonald, Naomi Van Noordennen, Dave Biddulph, Simon McGlynn, Helena MacGilp and Maggie Cripps) contributed parts and the recording was mastered by Calum Malcolm.

The album garnered high praise. It was the Sunday Times CD of the week and also made the Times best of 2006. Sunday Times critic Mark Edwards - on ‘Shelter From The Storm’: "You’d have to be a fool to cover one of Dylan’s best-loved songs. Either that, or a singer with the presence — and presence of mind — to slow it right down, exposing the beauty of every syllable." US journal for improvised and progressive music Signal to Noise heralded the album as "Haunting folk into straight-up epic territory." – Nathan Turk.
Ian Mathers, for Stylus Magazine (US) writes: "A focused, cohesive record, one with a consistent, mournfully beautiful emotional tone."

…..was asked to play several festivals around Europe in 2007, and in August ’07 headlined his debut UK tour.

…..is currently recording his second album, to be released in 2008.
